Terms
Terms of service
The plain-English terms for working with CrownCraft. Last updated 22 October 2026.
Who we are
CrownCraft is a web and app studio run as a sole trader (ABN 45 580 200 306), based in Melbourne, Victoria. You can reach us at hello@crowncraft.studio. In these terms, “we” and “us” means CrownCraft, and “you” means the client.
Quotes and scope
Every project starts with a fixed written quote that sets out what we’ll build and the price. The price won’t change unless the scope does. If you ask for work outside the quote, we’ll quote it separately and only start once you’ve agreed.
Payments
We invoice 50% to start the project and the remaining 50% before launch. Invoices are due within 7 days. All prices are in Australian dollars. We’re not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Domain names and any third-party subscriptions you need are billed at cost.
Your part
You supply your content, such as text, logos and photos, and you confirm you have the rights to use it. You also give feedback in good time. If a project is stalled for 30 days while we wait on you, we may pause it and invoice for the work done so far.
Revisions and approval
During the Review stage you can request changes within the agreed scope. Nothing goes live until you’ve signed off on the final site.
Ownership
You own your domain, website code and accounts from the start. At launch you receive a handover kit with your logins, files and setup notes, and we update it within 5 business days of any change to your setup. If you can’t reach us for 10 business days, you’re free to give the kit to anyone you choose. See How ownership works for details.
Care plans
Care plans are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you’ve paid for. We don’t refund partial months, except where the law requires it.
Lead-leak check
On care plans, we test your website forms every week. If a form breaks and we fail to catch it at our next weekly check, we’ll credit that month’s care fee.
Third-party services
Your site relies on services we don’t control, such as hosting, booking tools, SMS providers and Google. We’ll help when they have problems, but we aren’t responsible for their outages, changes or pricing.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you’ve paid for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy
We only use your information to deliver and support your work. We don’t sell it or share it, except with the services needed to run your site.
Ending a project
Either of us can end a project by giving written notice. If that happens, you pay for the work done up to that point.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your project is the one in place when you accepted your quote.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
